JAMES MCKAY - SCARS AND HEARTS

£4

James McKay has spent over 10 years as a singer/songwriter, crafting original songs on a vast array of subjects ranging from love and lust, to heartbreak and pain. A captivating storyteller, James has decided to produce his latest album, titled Scars and Hearts, in a more stripped back acoustic style. June 4th 2017 will see James debut the album in its entirety live at the Regal Theatre in his home town of Bathgate. Each song has its own personal meaning to James, but can also cleverly be translated into the listeners own imagination and experience. These songs require no big production behind them which is why James opted for a simplistic approach, letting the simplicity of the song and story do the talking. James will accompany his vocals with guitar and will also be joined on stage by Stuart McLean on piano and some other guest performances. This performance is sure to grab your emotions and attention for the full show

SINGIN' I'M NO A BILLY, HE'S A TIM

£20

On the day of an Old Firm clash, a Rangers and Celtic fan end up sharing a courtroom cell. Their only hope of escape is betting on the match to pay their fines. While taking turns to watch the game on a TV through their cell door, the pair bicker their way through every entrenched cliché of “Scotland’s shame” from religion to politics and national identity.

But aided by their kindly turnkey Harry – whose worries for his sick grandson help put their petty quarrels into perspective – they’re forced to reach a grudging understanding.

Des Dillon’s brilliant satire of bigotry in Scotland and its connection with the nation’s two biggest football teams first scored critical acclaim at the Fringe in 2005, and has since been a near-constant fixture in theatres in Scotland
